About Life Sciences Baltics 2018

Life Sciences Baltics 2018 is the only international forum in the Baltic region for world-class biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical devices experts from all around the world. It provides a unique opportunity to explore the new horizons of partnerships, exchange ideas and seek progress through networking. Discover enormous potential and passion in the field of life sciences in Lithuania and the Baltic region – the gateway to emerging markets.

Bi-annual forum, organized by Enterprise Lithuania for the fifth time, next year will gather more than 1500 scientists, businessmen, entrepreneurs, startups and students from more than 30 countries working in the life sciences industry and world-renowned experts in various fields of science. It consists of 5 parts: conference, international exhibition, B2B meetings, startup program and networking events.

The conference’s goal is to bring the Baltic life science industries to the forefront of the global conscience and to increase the awareness to the region's incredible talent and potential by networking and best practices exchange with the world leaders of the life sciences sector. The event is organized under patronage of President of the Republic of Lithuania H.E. Ms. Dalia Grybauskaitė and will be held on 2018 - very symbolic date for Lithuania which will be celebrating 100th anniversary of restoration of independence.

Why Lithuania?

Lithuania’s life sciences industry has been skyrocketing over the last two decades and is now regarded as one of the most advanced in Central and Eastern Europe, demonstrating 21% annual growth within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical research and production sector, and around 80% of the production being exported. Statistics prove that Lithuania is already on the right track.  

Lithuania is perfect place to discover state-of-the-art scientific infrastructure and investor-ready startups in the Baltics. The success of Lithuanian biotechnology industry starts with the well-developed educational system involving 17 academic institutions and 15 most competent R&D centers.

With the pool of 18 000 researchers and specialists and almost 300 companies operating in the life sciences area, as well as astonishing tax environment for R&D activities, the country is on the fast track of becoming one of the top high tech innovation hub in Europe.

“Life Sciences Baltic2018” is the new destination where trend-setters meet. The largest in the region international life sciences event will be held on September 26 -27, 2018.
